Route
We start in the the biggest of the Dutch ABC-Islands Curacao, with its iconic colorful colonial waterfront in Willemstad – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here Caribbean warmth blends with Dutch architecture in a wondrous way, and the city’s restaurants, bars and local market give us plenty to explore on land.
From Curacao we will wait for a favorable weather window and head over to Bonaire, which is an absolute mecca for snorkelers and divers – the coral reefs here are protected as a national park and are considered some of the best preserved in the world. The water is crystal clear and the fish life is rich and colorful.
After we have had enough of the best diving in the world, we will make a quick one or two day downwind passage to Aruba, the third of the ABC-Islands known for its super long, world class white beaches, turquoise waters and wreck diving.
Activities
This is real liveaboard life — no fixed itinerary, no daily schedule, no pressure.
You are free to shape your days as you like. Go snorkeling over coral reefs, explore small coastal towns, jump in for a swim at sunrise, or spend a quiet afternoon reading on deck. If you work remotely, there will often be opportunities to get a few hours in. The trip has a strong focus on life in and around the water. Expect plenty of:
We’ll share many of these moments together — cooking, sailing, navigating, and just enjoying the rhythm of life at sea. Longer offshore passages are part of this leg and will give you a real taste of bluewater sailing. We are between six and eight people between 20 and 30 years old. You'll either be in a single cabin, or sharing a double cabin with private bathroom.
Travel to and from the Boat
Travel to Curacao Airport (CUR) in Curacao no later than 1st of August. Depart from Aruba (AUA) on the 31st of August. As always with sailing, plans can shift — flexible travel arrangements are strongly recommended. Flights from Europe are around 800€ return.
Requirements
You do not need prior sailing experience. You should be comfortable spending extended time at sea and be open to longer passages. An interest in the ocean and underwater activities is highly encouraged, but no prior experience is required. You must be able to enter the relevant countries. A positive, adaptable mindset is key — this trip is about embracing the journey rather than sticking to a fixed plan.
