Logbook

Since the beginning of this project, so many amazing people have joined the boat. As a goodbye gift before leaving Germany for good, Felix' mom gave him a guest book, for the crew members to leave their thoughts and feedback. This is a little excerpt from this physical book onboard Laurelli.

Felix, I know in your world this is not an uncommon set of experiences, and it may seem like (hopefully rarely) this is normal. It’s not. But that’s what makes it so special that you’ve set up this life for yourself and have opened your home and heart and brain to us lucky few. I look forward to making good on the inspiration and experience you’ve given me on this trip, and seeing ya and Laurelli in French Polynesia as a much more experienced sailor. I worry what your shell collection will look like by then, I hope there will still be space for people on the boat. Hopefully I can send you a few other fun people as well along the way, as many people have heard/seen this trip. Keep sharing it with everyone (but pls discount for sending people if they’re cool). Thanks so much for an amazing, passion-confirming, bucket-list ticking, epic, wholesome… trip. See you next time!

Felix! Thank you for the best trip of my life! The sailing dream you have brought to life is a true reflection of your passion and your drive. But more than that, your willingness to share this dream with others is a reflection of your heart. ♥ I’m so deeply grateful for this time on Laurelli and for the beautiful boat family you created for us! Thank you so much for trusting me to be part of this journey. I’ll carry this experience with me for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to meet you on the ocean again someday, somewhere! Cheers to wherever the wind may carry us ⛵ all my love!

Felix! What a sick journey this has been, cheers for having me aboard, every day has been unreal. I’ve absolutely loved learning to sail, snorkelling at the coolest reefs, seeing eagle rays, sharky bois, box fish, octopus and a fuck tonne of cool fish + turtles. I have also loved being able to improve freediving skills and hanging out with the most incredible boat fam! Absolute highlights would be the dolphins dancing around the boat and meeting so many cool people along the way. Thanks for being such a chill person to be stuck on the boat with for 6 weeks and I’m super keen to see how your sail around the world goes. Keep living the good life and all the best to ya!

Thank you so much for this amazing trip. It has been the best weeks in my life. I’ve never met a person who opens their home and welcome people in it, the way you do. You have truly been a great skipper, co-living person and friend. You always have everything under control which makes us feel safe, while still being, as Rafael would have said «super-chill». You really set the tone for the entire crew. Everyone are great people, but you are the glue holding everything and everyone together. So thank you for these weeks, and I hope I get to see you soon again!
