The Contribution
Cruising on a sailing yacht is ultimate freedom - but it comes at a high financial burden. We know some boat owners do not expect a contribution to the boat, but unfortunately we don’t have that kind of money! And getting there would’ve meant another couple of decades at the desk. This is why we are doing it now, and doing it this way.
The contribution for your berth is 53,00€ per day. To secure your spot on the boat we ask you to pay a deposit of 1060,00€ which equals 20 days on the boat. This amount will be deducted from your last 20 days onboard. The deposit gives you peace of mind that the berth is yours and it gives us peace of mind that you will actually show up. The bunk money is an indispensable contribution to a circumnavigation. It’s what’s keeping Laurelli afloat and what’s keeping us safe in the ocean. Therefore the deposit is non-refundable if you decide to cancel the trip last minute or disembark before scheduled. If you cancel, and we manage to find a replacement for you, you’ll of course get your money back though!
The Process
We will be spending a lot of time together on the boat – and Laurelli is our home. We want to create an experience where everyone feels safe, at home, and at ease. Therefore, it is really important to get to know you before we take you onboard.
Please fill out the form below and tell us a little about who you are, what makes you tick as a person, and why you are drawn to life at sea. Share your expectations, your sailing (or travel) experience if any, and what you hope to contribute to the crew community.
After we receive your application, we will invite you to a short video interview. This is not a test, but a chance for us to meet face to face, answer your questions, and see if Laurelli is the right fit for you – and you for us.
Sailing is about teamwork, trust, and shared adventure. By taking the time to connect beforehand, we make sure that once you step aboard, you feel welcome and prepared for the journey ahead.
